Students Participate in Westmoreland Interscholastic Reading Competition

On March 10th, Penn-Trafford High School gifted students participated in the Westmoreland Interscholastic Reading Competition, competing against 26 teams from 16 schools across the county. Participants demonstrated their dedication by reading 30 books over the course of the year and answering trivia questions based on their content.

One of Penn-Trafford’s teams, "I Like Big Books & I Cannot Lie," achieved a commendable 9th-place finish. Although they did not place in the top three, their strong performance highlighted their commitment to reading and literary analysis.

The competition allowed students to test their knowledge, collaborate as a team, and engage with literature in an exciting and competitive environment.
