Students from Penn-Trafford High School’s gifted program spent a day at Pittsburgh’s Allegheny General Hospital observing Dr. M. Scott Halbreiner, MD perform a Coronary Artery Bypass Graft Surgery (CABG). Before the operation, students learned about the various roles in an operating room. During the procedure, they observed both from the gallery and through the surgeon's camera, giving them a view of the most intricate details of the surgery.
Penn-Trafford students in the Allegheny General Hospital gallery were Chloe Walton, Seolri Yun, Julianna Eshman, Alex Heintz, Delaney Race, Caeley Simon, Riley Joyce, Marielle Wilson, Elle LeJeune, Adithri Pingali, Joshua Maust, Benjamin Wei, and Faiz Khatri
