Science Lesson Includes Dissection

The fourth-graders of Level Green Elementary School completed a recent Science lesson with a hands-on project.  After the lesson on fossils and food chains, Mr. Rinier provided students with owl pellets, gloves, and instructions to dissect the pellets and reveal the undigested parts of an owl’s food such as bones and fur.

“The dissection activity was a great way to end the lesson,” commented Mr. Rinier. “It was far more impactful and interesting than just observing photos”, commented Mr. Rinier.
