The Harrison City Women's Club recently donated $700.00 to Penn-Trafford’s Backpacks-to-Go program. This supplemental nutrition program provides a backpack filled with meals and snacks every other weekend to district children in need. The initiative is made possible through donations from community members, businesses, organizations, and churches in the surrounding area.
Penn-Trafford volunteers, Mrs. Popovich and Mrs. Traill, are already preparing to kick off the 2024-2025 backpack program. “With the rising costs of food, the expense of the program continues to grow,” states Mrs. Traill. “The ongoing support of our community continues to make the program possible for the approximately 90 students who participate in the program. Our Backpacks-to-Go team is truly grateful to the Harrison City Women's Club and all those who support the cause!”
