Level Green Students Get Hands-On With Science

In May, the third, fourth, and fifth-grade students in Mr. Monzo’s science classes at Level Green Elementary enjoyed some hands-on science activities led by building sub-teacher, Miss Cipra.

During a Milk & Cookies experiment, the students learned about buoyancy by taking different cookies and placing them in milk to see if they would sink or float.  In another lesson, students tested surface tension on pennies, nickles, dimes, and quarters using both regular water and soapy water.
