Gettysburg... at last!

A group of students from Penn-Trafford High School, along with teachers Mr. Phillip Moses, Mr. John Carlisle, and retired teacher Mr. Dan Edgerly, enjoyed a recent field trip to Gettysburg National Military Park with financial assistance from the American Battlefield Trust’s History Field Trip Grant Program.

“We were excited to provide this opportunity for students who missed their 8th-grade field trip due to Covid,” commented Moses.  “The students gained a better understanding of the impact of this battle on our country.”

Penn-Trafford offered the optional trip to juniors and seniors whose Gettysburg trip - traditionally experienced in eighth grade - was canceled during the pandemic.  Twenty-one students enjoyed the May excursion.
