PTTV Lands Multiple DMAC Awards

Penn-Trafford students in Mr. Steve Vinton’s Television Production classes won five awards at Robert Morris University’s annual Digital Media Arts Consortium (DMAC) on April 20, and a student from Mr. Jason Wawrzeniak’s Journalism class also brought home a trophy.  Over twenty schools across Western Pennsylvania vied for awards in twenty-five media-related categories.  


Penn-Trafford earned top marks in the following categories:


  • Award of Excellence, school announcements category - ‘Wake Up Warriors’ crew 

 

  • Award of Excellence, commercial category - Morgan Arlia and Ella Malloy

 

  • Founders Award - Conner Alexander

 

  • Best in Category, news package - Julianne Fontano and Ella Malloy

 

  • Award of Excellence, instructional video category - Aiden DeRiggi, Luke Champlain and Devin Kriedler

 

  • Award of Excellence, print media/hard news category - Abigail Dreistadt and Mia Williams

“It’s always a thrill to see the students be recognized for their hard work,” commented Mr. Vinton.  “I am very proud of the work they have done this year.  We look forward to DMAC each year."
