Students Engineer Their Futures at Westinghouse

Several Penn-Trafford High School students jumped at the opportunity to attend an “Engineer Your Future” experience sponsored by Westinghouse and held at its corporate headquarters in Cranberry Township in March.

Westinghouse engineers accompanied students on a hands-on journey that included testing electromagnetic force, programming robots for a race, determining the half-life of uranium, and participating in career panel discussions. “The day was filled with great advice and meaningful connections to the next steps in the students' futures,” commented Penn-Trafford teacher Mrs. Wukich, who accompanied the students on the excursion.
