The ninety-five members of Trafford Middle School’s Chorus worked hard in December to spread kindness and cheer to the community’s veterans and senior citizens.
Through two grants (from Donors Choose and North Huntingdon McDonald’s) this year, the school’s chorus instructor, Mrs. Rumbaugh, received a Cricut Maker 3 Cutting Machine, Cricut Heat Press, Cricut Mug Press, and numerous supplies to create community service and music advocacy projects.
In one project, the group created tumblers to present to Trafford Veterans to show its gratitude for their service to our country.
They also created winter snowmen and delivered them to local veterans and residents of Trafford Manor and Golden Heights Personal Care Home. “The chorus members enjoyed making these snowmen but more importantly, understood the importance of spreading kindness to others,” commented Mrs. Rumbaugh.
