Manipulatives Reinforce Math and Literacy Skills

The fourth-grade teachers of Sunrise Estates Elementary School received funds from the Penn-Trafford Community Education Foundation to obtain classroom sets of VersaTiles, which are an effective tool for reinforcing their students' math and literacy skills.

Mrs. Hartman, Mrs. Miller, and Mrs. Watt's students have seen positive results since introducing the new materials.

“VersaTiles give students the ability to see concepts in a different form,” commented Mrs. Miller. “For students who are visual learners, manipulatives give them the ability to express concepts in a different way. Manipulatives intrigue and motivate students while also helping them learn.”
