To kick off the new school year, the Penn-Trafford School District’s Backpacks-To-Go Program received donations from two local organizations. The Community Church (Route 130, Irwin) donated backpacks, binders, and earbuds for students in need of assistance. The church is led by Senior Pastor Seth McPherson and Missions Team leader Drew Patrick.
Express Employment Professionals (Route 130 in the PT Plaza), held a back-to-school drive to collect supplies including backpacks, crayons, pencils, pens, folders, glue, and scissors. The drive was organized by PT Alumna Cassie Armstrong, who wanted to give back to the local community.
